The "Puffer" is a traditional general purpose steam ship used to carry just about anything around the West Coast of Scotland. This highly detailed model is based on a 78ft Puffer. Kit Contents: Two-part thermo-formed hull - Running gear including motor & rubber coupling, prop-shaft & threaded propeller, brass rudder - Sheets of printed styrene for decks etc. - 130+ etched brass and metal fittings - An anchor windlass kit - All necessary wood dowels, chain and rod for railing - Step-by-step assembly drawings, instructions and plan of the highest standard by Dave Milbourn. Paints and adhesives are required to complete the model as illustrated. UK Price: £48 + £4 for UK post and packing The kit is suitable for someone with limited modelling experience as it includes a full-size plan together with a number of isometric drawings showing how the parts fit together. At the same time the experienced modeller could add deck planking, a smoke generator and other refinements to make a more detailed model. KIT NOT SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN. Minimum R/C requirements: 2-channel radio, 1amp micro speed control (BEC) and mini/micro servo, 4 x AA cells. |
