The Model
- Length 500 mm. The Small Rescue Boat is a ‘no frills’
kit. Everything to build the basic model is supplied.
Kit Contents - basic model: Motor, propshaft,
propeller, plastic tube coupling; single rudder/tiller arm assembly; thermo-formed styrene hull / deck / superstructure / motor
mount / shaft and rudder supports / battery and radio trays. Also provided are window decals and clear glazing; a set of metal fittings; rubber fendering;
plastic strips; wire for railings; Ø3.2mm ABS tube. Recommended for model makers with a little experience. Build time approx. 20 hours. Kit not suitable for
children.

Additional items required to complete the model:
▪ A good pair of scissors; a modelling knife; fine sandpaper; a sanding block; a small
round file; pliers; 30W soldering iron, flux/solder (if you wish to solder).
▪ Humbrol plastic filler, ordinary liquid plastic solvent, two-part epoxy or thick superglue, R/C Modellers Craft Glue, contact adhesive, all available
from good model shops.
▪ Humbrol enamels, alternatively Halford’s acrylic aerosols.
▪ A two-channel radio control system using a servo operated speed control, or a micro switch to motor control (or an electronic speed control min 10 amps continuous
rating). 6v or 7.2v Nicad pack (1200-2200 Ah) and battery charger. |
