The basic model was detailed as follows:

• The sacrificial keels and trimtabs were made from 1.5mm styrene plastic; the trimtab rams from 1.5mm wire passed through 3.2mm plastic tubing; the lines on the hull with red and white trim tape.

• The three front hatch covers and hatch cover on rear deck were made from 0.5mm and 1mm plastic sheet (0.5mm glued on top of 1mm).

• The three canister boxes on s/structure back from 1mm plastic and the fine details i.e. straps, hinges, handles were made from 1mm plastic cut into small strips.

• The windows were cut out and glazed with clear plastic (provided in kit). The black bollards on front and rear decks were made from wood dowel and 2.4mm rod. The RNLI flag is available from www.modelflags.com
